what's going on with me « Result #1 on Oct 11, 2008, 8:36pm »
Currently, I'm watching game 2 of the ALCS. Boston VS Tampa Bay. Dustin Pedroia just hit a solo homerun and it's 3-2, Boston.
I'm living in East Boston and working at Boston Architectural College. This is the same job that brought me out here from the BDIC office (and Western Mass - Oh, Judie's!).
This job has been scary, challenging, lots of fun, and kinda miserable (in that order). My department is changing and roles are shifting and I'm realizing that this isn't even something I want to do. My previous boss made the job worthwhile as she was a personal role model. Now it's business as usual and I hate the business! No, I don't hate...
I must remember with the "economic crisis" going on I need to be happy at my job. I'd been applying for a few positions but they've up and disappeared! So I am trying to make my current job more enjoyable. It's difficult to remain positive but I think I've found a balance.
Incase you're wondering, I am working in online education. Mostly I assist online instructors with development and production of their course. The courses are mostly in sustainable design. The instructors are cool people. However, I'm also left to coordinate the whole group. Everyone's been hired in the last two months becasue of the success of the program (this is fun!) but wow, it's a lot of overtime.
Now I am really wanting to back for my masters in education. I will! Very soon...

Anyone out there? « Result #2 on Sept 12, 2008, 7:25pm »
Hey all.
I'm the moderator of this alumni message board. I'm as guilty as anyone of not signing in often. But is anyone out there. I hope you all are well.
I've noticed we've had a lot of folks join in the last few months! Welcome. Introduce yourselves. I'm hoping you'll energize us to get talking, we've all been busy!
Hope to hear from you soon. If anyone can't reach me here, feel free to email me at davina.danian @ gmail.com.
